The first official expansion to Battlefield 3, Back to Karkand, has been released today. We're just waiting for a server side patch and we'll be changing the map rotation of our 64 man conquest large server to a 24/7 Karkand one.
The plan is to keep it this way for a while to see what maps are best (hopefully all, I think we 'play tested' most of them in BF2) then we'll later be adding the vanilla maps back in.

Yes indeed folks, those of you who pre-ordered BF3 from Origin can now pre-load it today and have it sit cluttering up your HD space for a week before you can play it.
Those of you who bought retail copies will of course have to wait until it arrives from the postman before you can install (thanks, sir pointsouthteobvious-alot)
Just a heads up that we're merely days away from release now, an a note that those of us off to the LAN will probably still be playing on our server and convincing everyone else there to join us on it!
