ESL

Summer is over, the sun has retreated behind the clouds and the leaves are turning brown. The ESL Call of Duty 4 League: Autumn 2008 has finally been announced and signups are open.

Signups close on Thursday 18th September and the competition begins on Monday 29th September with seven weeks of intense competition up until the grand final of each division on week commencing Monday 10th November - just before the release of Call of Duty 5: World at War.

The structure of the competition is very similar to the Clanbase Fall 2008 Open Cup in many respects. There will be skill based divisions with 4 groups of 4 teams per divisions. The top 2 teams of each group will participate in a 8-team single elimination playoff series. Groupstage matches are one map, fixed per week, with the full 24 rounds played. Playoff matches are two maps, each team picks a map, first to 25 rounds, a tie break map for each round is fixed.

The Image air gaming Assault team, will be participating in this competition.

Minor Changes to Recon

There have been a few minor changes to the air-gaming's second squad; Recon. The squad have recently taken on a handful of new players, including members from Assault squad in a bid to make them more competitive in this coming Euro Domination season and to replace members who found it hard to gel in the squad. We have seen both Image Jonesy and Image Danothebull come from Assault squad, whilst we see the return of inactive members such as Image Trimix and Image Fishernab, plus fresh recruits Image Shox and Image thund3R. This large swell in members came from numberous long and short term members leaving - some on thier terms, some on ours. They compromised of Image TIOOO, Image Cannon and Image Geemack.

With a rocketing start to the Recon squad, there came a brief moment of lost function and focus, resulting in a senior member stepping down as the squad primary leader. Image Bigpig has been in the clan for quite a while and although feels no place as a squad leader is still sticking around. He is a valued asset to the team and will help bring success in the coming Euro Domination season.

Speaking of Euro Domination... Recon caused havoc in the Euro Domination Irish guards divsion, Admins saw us fit to move up to the top division - The Royal Green Jackets - where we currently hold pole position. There have recently been rumoured talks of Recon joining their sister squad Assault in coming tournaments - this has been confirmed earlier in the week as the team look set to join the Clanbase Fall 2008 Open Cup and EDCOD4L Season II.
